MY FIRST 3 FALL SHOPPING PIECES I AM ALREADY WEARING!

Since we have to put up with the fact that summer doesn’t last forever, if you, like me, live in the Netherlands.. One of the good things is the arrivals of the new collections so we can start the fall shopping! Scotch & Soda is always one of the first stores I check when shopping for early new season. I love the relaxed vibe at the same time with edgy details.

I styled the 3 pieces I suggest picking up now before they sell out and if you keep reading, I am going to show you how to start incorporating them into your current summer closet!

What I like the most about this look, is the contrast with this very feminine ruffle top paired with a tomboy sporty bomber jacket for an everyday casual chic look.

  1. High rise jeans: My denim collection is becoming ridiculously big but I always have space for new jeans in my wardrobe. Especially if they are high rise and with some sort of edgy details, like this asymmetrical hem. High rise jeans have been going strong lately and they’re here to stay.. so, if you haven’t bought a pair yet, I say do and don’t delay! This denim cut is going to make all your outfits look on trend and it’s the first thing you can’t miss out during fall shopping.

Off white ultra feminine blouse: White it really is the new black! In summer AND winter! There’s nothing as refreshing for your wardrobe as adding a piece which is new season but you don’t have to wait for cold days to be worn. This blouse makes the perfect feminine piece to match to a full white look, an evening dressy outfit or a summer look with denim shorts! Fall shopping doesn’t mean waiting for cold weather.. It’s nice to incorporate new season light pieces that we enjoy immediately and carry on wearing towards the new season.   nickyinsideout - scotch & soda - fall shopping - high rise denim - bomber jacket - feminine blouse - street style - inspiration 3. Bomber jacket: This outwear piece is exactly the kind of statement jacket you want in your wardrobe! It’s perfect to be throw on any basic and casual outfit and immediately would make your look much more interesting! Plus, the colour is super easy to match!   nickyinsideout - scotch & soda - fall shopping - high rise denim - bomber jacket - feminine blouse - street style - inspiration   nickyinsideout - scotch & soda - fall shopping - high rise denim - bomber jacket - feminine blouse - street style - inspiration     nickyinsideout - scotch & soda - fall shopping - high rise denim - bomber jacket - feminine blouse - street style - inspiration   nickyinsideout - scotch & soda - fall shopping - high rise denim - bomber jacket - feminine blouse - street style - inspiration

AROUND AMSTERDAM WITH OTTERBOX EP.2

Remember last month I took you to my favourite Amsterdam 5 star hotel? (here in case you missed it). This time I went a bit outside my comfort zone and I decided to show you a place that maybe would’t be on your top five list when you visit Amsterdam, but it definitely should! Imagine a sunny day, blue skies, leaving the urban business behind, just entering a little door and finding yourself in a beautiful and intimate oasis where you can explore a unique collection of plants (not sure I did that!!), the most photogenic palm trees and cactus without having to travel overseas (absolutely did that!!) and enjoying your cappuccino in the cutest cafe (never miss that!!).

Several warm glass houses, which will make you forget you are fighting the winter season in Holland, with walkways to climb up the ceilings and get a great view from the top. . and #fwis shots for the fellow instagrammers. . Just don’t wear high heels. . #justsaying . .

If you were wandering if my life is all about my phone and hangs out in photogenic places (preferably with wifi and a good lighting). . You are almost there! It’s also about clothes, shoes and bags . . again #justsaying. And of course, photography! I am loving to have some green in my feed, palm trees and cactus, in case you missed it on my Instagram here . . It just adds that ‘holiday feeling’ and since I am not in the position of travelling to California with the little one at the minute.. What’s better than finding the real deal in the centre of the city?

By now, I am getting quite fond of the look of my phone, being my never-leave-the-house-without prime accessory.

Only coming second to my baby girl and credit cards obvs.. B.E. (Before Emma) the phone case was just an extra accessory or something which would make my phone prettier.. Now, it is still something which makes my phone prettier, absolutely loving the Symmetry Series grey case (it shows the rose gold colour of my iPhone and loved it paired with the grey all-around detail) but since my phone became the main attraction for the little one, it keeps dropping on the floor, the street, out of bed, on the tram, she even tries to chew it now #nojoke. . You can only imagine where I would be by now without a strong case.

Finally, you know, I never miss the chance to try a new cafe spot, a good cappuccino and a photogenic coffee art. The botanic garden accommodates a lovely cafe which accommodates a huge tree inside. How pretty and unusual is that?!

I can’t wait for summer days, for a break from the traffic, sitting in the outside garden, having my cappuccino while Emma will experiment walking and maybe will give a break my phone. What I also can’t wait, is showing more about this city and its less touristic hidden places!

Till the next time, see you in a new location, always with a cappuccino in hands and, hopefully, still intact phone thanks to OtterBox.

LFW DAY 1 – BOMBER JACKET AND DAINTY JEWELS

bomber-jacket-lace-lace-up-shoes-denim-round-sunglasses

As I am writing this post from Amsterdam, with a heart full being reunited with my little Emma, I can’t help being already a little nostalgic of London. Especially when you are lucky enough of getting such sunny days, the energy you get from this city is just unique. These 4 days in London have been like ‘going back home’ for me. After living there for seven years, it still feels like I never left. I’ve spent a lot of time with my bestie Lorna and met all my londoner fellow bloggers at the Apartment while taking over the Otterbox_Europe instagram account. It’s been a fun long weekend!

For my first look of this fashion week I chose to mix nineties vibes adding very feminine touches with dainty jewellery. Navy, black and white with gold details. We couldn’t be luckier with the weather since I really wanted to show you my new ThingsEyeLove jewels and the sun played a great part in making them shine so beautifully. I will keep showing you these pieces in the following fashion week posts because they’re just too pretty!

BLACK & WHITE

We can smell Autumn in the air in London. The weather is still pretty warm, considering, but you can feel that breeze and the days are getting shorter ..Sartorially speaking Autumn is my favourite season. When we can layer on top and still afford to wear bare legs (I will go on this way as long as possible – that’s why I am always the first one hit by the flu! Doh!). And it’s not over! We can finally wear leather again! I am sporting this Maje lamb leather skirt with suede details, paired up with pointy loafers and socks, as Celine teached us. Plus a mesh bomber jacket. I am embracing the new season with my usual monochromatic simplicity and to be honest I am kind of excited ..

Inside Out the Look:

Leather skirt: Maje (similar here) | Polo Neck: Uniqlo (here) | Mesh Bomber: Maje (try this) | Loafers: Miu Miu (here) |

Socks: COS (here) | Big Pouch: American Apparel (more here) | Sunglasses: Celine (more here)
