When summer is approaching, the first piece that I cannot wait to wear it always happens to be denim shorts.
This season I am giving a go to a new length which is moving downwards .. to the knee in fact. I am a big fan of the actual catwalk furore for bermuda shorts. It’s a perfect time off option as it’s hard to imagine anything more laid-back than some denim cut-offs.
Since I am plenty of inactive jeans somewhere in the hind of my closet. I brought this pair back from the stale, made them meet the scissors and ta-daa!
I have got a fresh bit of on-trend wear.
Shirt Dress: Maje (here)
Getting ready for Paris tomorrow!
This is what I am going to wear for the MAJE Winter Collection presentation + Launch Party.
Can’t wait to wear it!!
In my last post I wrote about Nicky vs London weather 0-1 (here). But the flu didn’t pose a threat to me heading to the Netherlands for a long weekend already planned for months. So I went. Gradually I got better and we spent 2 days at The Hague, where my boyfriend family lives, and the rest of the time in Amsterdam.
Below, I proudly present you my new Celine purchase (and the very quick outfit I put together that day – being still sick) which of course I absolutely adore.

I should know better after all these years in London. Am I a cold season lover? Nope. I was born and raised by the Italian seaside. So at least I should be cautious. Also the cold and rainy weather lower my spirits. In fact, at the first raises of sun and the calendar tells me it’s mid April. Here I go all sleeveless and in a denim jacket. Like I would do back home indeed.
I live in a country where girls go around almost completely unclothed. It is not a myth, believe me, the English do not feel the cold. The day, they go around in stocking and pumps. In the evening, micro dresses, no coats, no jackets, no tights.
Not speaking about the Dutch. During winter time, my boyfriend jumps on the bike, still with wet hair! Leaving me in shock. And I in all this? I wear a t-shirt for a couple of days in the sun and I am sick. I am not expressing a criticism. I admit. I ‘m envious!
Did I think this year would be different? Yes! Like I do every year.
Did I ended up in bed with the flu? Yes! Like I do every year.
You tricky London!
And me? I never learn.
On a different note, some of my looks were published today by the online magazine LOOK. So if you like my blog and my pictures it would be really nice to vote, it only takes few seconds! Grazieee 🙂
I woke up with high fever this morning which forced me to clear up my daily schedule and stay in bed.
I slept a lot, relaxed my body and dreamt of . .
. . Upcoming summer holidays on the beach. I miss home!
. . Coachella! I would have loved to be in the desert the past weekend!
Maybe next year??
. . A new red lipstick! (It’s when you can’t that you would like to dress up the most!)
I don’t feel hungry at all but I wouldn’t mind the boyfriend to arrive home with a jar of candies for me!!
. . Of fairy dust to help me get well soon, because I hate being sick!
(This one just made me smile!!)
. . These mules by Tibi.
. . of the 19th April: Long weekend in Amsterdam.
. . of going to the movies . . YSL!
. . of these Alexander Wang short, of summer, of sun!
. . of a Chanel mani right now!
Sweet dreams to all of you Nicky x
